The Constant Struggle

Yep I was up a half pound this week, no surprise there! After last nights session in the gym I can't do a single sit up today. I can't believe that I worked muscles in my abdomen. Its usually just a jiggly blob that doesn't undergo the same punishment as the muscles elsewhere in my body! So every cloud has a silver lining eh? ;)

I had a stressful day at work today and I was in the humour to raid the presses this evening when I came home from weigh in. I managed to come out of the shop with just two small treats for myself and I'm afraid I did have a mini binge at home. One thing that prevented a big blow out was the walk/jog I did before going home. I knew I needed to blow off some steam and exercise really was the best way to do it! There is zero guilt after exercise unlike the feeling you'll have after eating two days worth of food in a single sitting!

That is the mental blip over and I'm starting afresh again tomorrow. Its a constant struggle but sometimes when it feels like other parts of your life are in turmoil its good to have a few constants. :) My constants are my family, my friends, my faith and my efforts to be fit and healthy.  Here's to the dawn of a new day! #feelingpositive

So I was socialising and this happened....

I lost one and a half pounds last week which left me in total shock!

I could not have been surer that I had gained weight. I was thrilled.

Last Friday a few sandwiches at my grannies party turned into this:

A drink or two on Saturday night turned into:

This is where you're supposed to tell me "sure we've all been there"
I have used 114 points out of this weeks 49! Oops! Yes that is off the Richter scale; never mind the weighing scales!! A gain or staying the same won't shock me tomorrow, honestly! Its okay!!..... and breathe :)
If I have a loss I am most definitely gonna need CPR this week! ;)

On the plus side, I'm going on holiday in August so ladies and gentlemen, directly if you look under your seats you will find your life jackets and a little thing I like to call motivation!
Have a good week and don't overdo it like moi!

The weeks go by!

So this is the night before weigh in and I have a sneaky feeling that I haven't lost anything this week.

I recently challenged a very bad habit I had developed. I was eating leftovers and assuming the role of the food waste bin in my house. Well if you eat something that should have gone in the bin you are going to feel rubbish.

Its not a nice feeling when you go into weigh in thinking I didn't have a terrible week but it wasn't very good either. That moment when you step on the scales and think "agh!! another week where I had no excuse not to lose has gone to waste."

Fingers crossed I'll lose even a half pound this week. I promise I'll make it happen tomorrow week if tomorrow is not my day!!

If you're reading this I want you to go out and make this week a week with a weight loss!!

Those Pretty Eyes...

Well hello again!
I'm back!! I have two stone to lose once more after spending the last ten months or so struggling, hanging in there and going to the weight watcher's meetings.
Romance hasn't blossomed for me yet and my career is on a go slow too. I have ideas and I am putting plans together to change career so that is half the battle.
I lost a stone in 2014 and gained half it back again but at least I'm feeling motivated now. Before Easter I built up my fitness gradually and now I hope to see big changes after starting gym classes last week :)
The struggle continues...
Its hard to spend all winter hauling yourself into the swimming pool, not buying that bar of chocolate when you visit the petrol station and making a dozen efforts every single week to lose weight. We all know where it goes wrong from week to week but it makes us question why we even bother trying.

Tonight I was looking for an outfit to wear to the gym tomorrow. I can't say I was overjoyed by the experience.

I call my overweight problem Agnes simply because I don't like the name and I don't want Agnes to be seen out and about with me anymore.

While gazing into the mirror at Agnes' belly when I was trying on tops to wear to the gym, I caught a glimpse of my own pretty eyes twinkling back at me. They were twinkling beautifully but they looked sad. I'm sad too. I'm sad that they don't get shown off more. I'm sad that what I think I will look like in that outfit isn't what I actually look like. I'm sad that the mirror in the gym last week put me in a bad mood when I had been so proud that I had returned to the gym.

So I promise to show off me and my eyes in a happy, confident and secure manner; even if I have to pretend to be that way in the beginning. Eventually I'll take complete pride in my appearance. Those pretty eyes will not be overshadowed by sadness any more. My real figure will match the healthy curvy figure I have in my mind. For the sake of having a healthy body to put with those pretty eyes in the mirror I will keep trying.

So pee off Agnes!! I've had enough of you!

A stone lost :)

Well here I am. We are nearing the end of June and I have lost.... wait for it.... a stone since January :) I am very proud of this. It was mid-May when I lost the stone and its been up and down since with a lot of fun along the way!

Boom! I've hit the plateau! I have another stone and a half to lose but its not looking easy. This is familiar terriitory for me but i will get around it this time. One minute i'm giving it my best and the next minute i go as laxed as ever! :o

Nothing worth having comes easy xx ;)
